Mission

Capital City Public Charter School's mission is to enable a diverse group of children to meet high expectations; develop creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; achieve deep understanding of complex subjects; and acquire a love of learning along with a strong sense of community and character.

Programs

Capital City was founded as an EL School school in 2000 and serves 981 students from every ward in the District in PreK-3 through 12th grades in one consolidated building in Ward 4.

Our innovative learning expeditions allow us to teach all subjects through the lens of a broader topic so our students learn in the context of the community and the world in which they live. By framing the study of core subject areas around a common theme, we are helping to make education more meaningful to our children’s lives. To learn more, please visit our website at www.ccpcs.org.
