LEXINGTON BASEBALL ASSOCIATION

The Lexington Optimist Ball Field and Hitting Complex provides many ballplayers in Lexington and surrounding communities with a wonderful place to gather and enjoy the summer.

The Lexington Baseball Association is a part of The American Legion Baseball organization, which impacts the lives of many young people every year. Nebraska’s Legion Baseball Program is one of the top five programs in the nation.

Lexington’s Baseball Association includes the Pony, Junior, and Senior baseball teams. Participants range from 13-18 years of age and reside in Lexington.

In 2021, a young Junior and Senior Legion team continued the legacy of Lexington Legion Baseball through the season, with a bright future as those young players move forward into the program. Even though baseball might be a summer sport, training begins in the winter. In 2021, some players participated with coaches in a fall program to help players continue developing their skills for the future.

Supporting the Association with donations through Give BIG is vital to keeping our program going and growing from year to year. Donations through Give BIG Lexington, the community, the Optimist, Pinnacle Bank, and the efforts of the City of Lexington allow for a quality program to be run, which impacts youth development into quality young people.
