Central Nebraska Human Trafficking & Immigration Outreach (CNHTIO) is in its 13th year. We have been providing services to human trafficking victims in our local community, and with your help, we will continue to assist victims.

In 2023, we saw an increase in debt bondage, labor trafficking, and sex trafficking. CNHTIO has received reports from members of our community concerning victims of trafficking. The reports are victims from countries around the world, now living in our community, are at risk. It is only with your support that we can do this work.

Leticia Bonifas working diligently to inform the public about the Human Trafficking impacts in Central Nebraska.

Here is a snapshot of the impact made in 2023:

  • CNHTIO spoke to over 300 individuals concerning human trafficking in our community
  • We served 35 victims of trafficking
  • 800 crisis line calls were received
  • Messages through social media and text messaging have increased in the last few years

2024 has been a challenge. Due to price increases in everything, mental health, transporting victims to safety, food, housing, and providing basic needs have been difficult to come by.
