Cozad Elementary AfterZone provides quality after school and summer programming for students kindergarten through 5th grades in the Cozad district. AfterZone began in 2007 as a Nebraska 21st Century Community Learning Center Grantee through the Nebraska Department of Education. Last year 170 different students attended the program during the school year and 150 different students attended during the summer. AfterZone is a partner with the Charitable Fund of Cozad, the Wilson Foundation, and the Kosman Foundation in Cozad.
Cozad AfterZone provides a safe, secure, and fun place for students to come and continue their learning. The program offers snacks; opportunities to engage with the community & learn from community members; participate in enrichment clubs with activities, art, crafts and events; benefit from homework assistance; create lasting relationships with peers & staff members; educational field trips and building family relationships.
