The Gothenburg Memorial Hospital Foundation, dba Gothenburg Health Foundation, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, EIN: 47-0652141. It exists to receive, manage, generate and disburse charitable gifts.
The mission of Gothenburg Health Foundation is to inspire philanthropy that enriches the provision of quality, cost-effective health care services, promoting the wellness and quality of life in our communities. This year’s fundraising efforts aim to ensure young families in rural areas, including Gothenburg and surrounding communities, can access top-notch maternity care close to home.
Maternity Care Deserts—rural areas without access to obstetrical services—are a growing concern across the U.S. Over half of rural counties lack maternity care, putting countless families at risk. Gothenburg Health is committed to maintaining and enhancing its OB services with updated equipment and ongoing training. Donations will ensure that families in the region continue to have access to exceptional care, right where they live. You can learn more about Maternity Care Deserts at https://www.marchofdimes.org/maternity-care-deserts-report.
"The Gift of Health" has become a guiding theme of all fund-raising activities being undertaken by the Foundation. The "Gift of Health" campaign focuses on the significant community support that has ensured quality health care in Gothenburg.
In the past the Foundation has raised funds for the medically-integrated YMCA at Gothenburg Health, for significant construction/renovation at Gothenburg Health, for local scholarships for students interested in entering the medical field, for the operating reserve for the Impact Center, and more.
By making a donation to the Gothenburg Health Foundation, you are partnering with us to provide support for the best possible health care services and health in our communities.
