Molly & Tim Are Getting Married!

When we were looking for our first home together, we had a list of 3 non-negotiable; no basements, laundry machines in-unit, and must be dog-friendly. We found our dream condo in November of 2019 and moved in January 2020. We gave ourselves a few weeks to settle in before we couldn't go without a dog for another minute. We found a puppy on the Homeward Trails website whose bio included a picture of a litter stranded in a cardboard box in Puerto Rico and decided we simply had to meet him. We traveled to a foster's house in Virginia only to fall in love with his littermate. The littermate's name was Robin, who later became the star we all know as Rico. We took him home at just 6 weeks old; earlier than usual because the state borders were closing due to COVID concerns. A couple days later, Chris (Molly's brother) brought home Chesney (Rico's other littermate!) and the two are inseparable when they get to visit. We've been lucky enough to continue our relationship with Homeward Trails, volunteering for supplies runs and fostering several puppies (which Rico has mixed feelings about). And similar to our first home, you’ll find us getting another dog from them as soon as we move into a home with more space. Rico really is the centerpiece of our little family.
