Lexington Basketball Association

As we enter our third year, the Lexington Basketball Association (LBA) reflects with pride on our growth and achievements. With a total of nine teams this past season, we have continued to bring together passionate players and dedicated coaches, fostering both basketball talent and community spirit.

A Year of Milestones:

•      Expanded Reach: This past season marked a significant milestone with the inclusion of boys teams for the first time. This expansion has broadened our impact and allowed us to serve a more diverse group of players within our community.

•      Scholarship Awards: We awarded over $1,500 in scholarships to participants eager to enhance their basketball skills and knowledge. These scholarships are a testament to our commitment in supporting athletes who show dedication and promise.

•      Tournaments and Events: Our teams actively participated in multiple tournaments, including the prestigious Winter Classic hosted by the Orthman Community YMCA here in Lexington. These events not only showcased our players’ talents but also strengthened our presence in the state basketball community.

•      Successful Basketball Camp: In November, we hosted our first annual LBA Basketball Camp, which was a resounding success thanks to the support of past and present coaches and dedicated volunteers. The clinic provided players with hands-on training and valuable mentorship, furthering our mission of developing well-rounded athletes both on and off the court.

Looking ahead

As we prepare for the upcoming season, we are excited to build on this momentum and make our next year the best one yet. We have ambitious plans to expand our programs and provide even more opportunities for our players to excel.
