A Celebration of Lights with live caroling, hot chocolate, and Santa at Kirkpatrick Memorial Park

The City of Lexington looks forward to the 3rd annual "Trail of Lights" project at Kirkpatrick Memorial Park. The park trails will be lit and decorated during the month of December.

A Celebration of Lights event is scheduled for Saturday, December 16th, 2023. In 2022, the event had over 800 visitors and included caroling, complimentary hot chocolate, Santa Claus, a live nativity, and much more! The trail is open each day/evening to walk and is a must-see!

The City of Lexington Parks & Recreation Department is seeking donations to help with expenses, including:

  • Additional electricity and power sources for the park
  • Large holiday decorative items
  • Additional holiday scenes to be added to the park
